Cortem Group has been awarded the Assiut project, Egypt, which provides for the expansion and modernisation of the Assiut refinery to meet the growing demand for petroleum products in Upper Egypt.
The agreement for the upgrading of the Assiut refinery, signed between the two EPCs, the Egyptian ENPPI and the Italian Technip, and the End User Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC), provides for the addition of a new complex of naphtha and a hydrocracking complex.
