New PYN, SPYN series plugs and sockets 16, 32, 63 and 125 Ampere

They replace the PY-SPY, FSQC – FP and EPC/EPRC – AP series

The new PYN, SPYN series 16, 32, 63 and 125 Ampere sockets and plugs replace the previous PY-SPY, FSQC – FP and EPC/EPRC – AP series which are out of production and no longer available.

Let's see the advantages of this new series, redesigned from scratch to offer an even higher-performance product.

  • The sockets are ATEX and IECEx certified with ‘Ex db eb’ protection method, while the plugs are ‘Ex eb’ certified. This allows the use of a normal ‘Ex eb’ cable gland.
  • The entire range is designed according to the industrial standard IEC/EN 60309: each ‘Ex eb’ plug can be inserted into a normal industrial electrical socket (but not vice versa).
  • All the sockets and plugs have been tested to reach extreme operating temperatures (-60°C +60°C). The 125 Ampere socket has been certified up to +55°C.
  • IP66 protection for the entire series.
  • Wiring in the field by operators can be done via screw terminal.
  • The bayonet rings in plastic material resistant to impacts, falls and UV rays, allow easy locking and unlocking of the plug.Colored plastic rings for the entire series, which identify the voltages of the socket and plug (according to the IEC 60309 standard).
  • The 16 and 32 Ampere sockets and plugs maintain the same compact design as the previous series, with classic internal disconnector, while the 63 and 125 Ampere sockets and plugs maintain the CCA-03E box and the boxed magnetothermal switch.
